Come with us on an exciting and surprising adventure to the top of Fortress Falls!
We will safely take you to one of the blue mountains most coveted photography locations, where we will have a picnic morning tea.
Take in breathtaking views along the ridge line before embarking on a technical scramble down to this special area of the Blue Mountains.
We will bring rope and a harness to ensure you are safe when you are in the waterfall area. Note this walk does not involve abseiling or rock climbing, the harness is purely for extra safety precautions.

😎Difficulty: Hard, 380 metres elevation gain, technical scrambles
🗺Length: 10km, 6 hours inclusive of breaks and photo time
⛰Fitness level: moderate
🥾Hiking boots: preferred. Non slip durable walking shoes are required.
🚻 Toilets are available in Leura near the supermarket. There are none on trail.
What to bring:
🎒 A small backpack to keep your hands free and pack the following:
💊essential medication and personal needs (eg Tissues, Hydrolyte, Ventolin)
💧2 litres of water (minimum)
🥪Any extra food you like to eat, we provide a delicious morning tea.

*In the event of an emergency, participants are liable for medical expenses and ambulance fees. We do recommend participants have ambulance cover and should take reasonable steps to ensure the safety of themselves and others on walks.
Notes:
The Road into this walk is unsealed but recently has been regraded. It should still be suitable for most cars for this walk date. We can offer lifts from Leura Station at 730am in our 4WD for the first 4 customers who enquire.
This walk involves creek crossings and rock scrambling, participants should be able bodied. Please do not book this tour if you are unfit, unwell or injured.
Participants must be on rope and harness at the waterfall for safety. if you have your own harness, please bring it (it will make your waterfall photos faster!
Personal Preparation is important for any Bushwalk, including maintaining a regular exercise/training schedule in the lead up time. you should be doing walks of this length at least twice per month in the lead up to this event happening, aiming for a 4-5km/per hour speed
