Come with us on a beautiful hike to our favourite waterfall ever: Box Creek Falls and Dungalla Cascades, in Kanangra National Park, in the greater Blue Mountains.
This 10 level, Pink Granite waterfall, will make you feel like you are in another state, or even another world!
With an experienced guide to show you the way to this hidden gem, you can focus on enjoying swimming, photos and relaxing in this bushland oasis.
$6 camping available nearby at the Boyd River Campground, which has toilet facilities, tables and fire pits.

🧭Departs from: Kowmung River Firetrail (GPS pin provided in email 2 days prior)
😎Difficulty: Moderate/hard, there are some rock scrambles and in places the track is grown over.
🗺Length: approx. 6km, 7 hours, including lunch, swimming and morning tea breaks
🥾Hiking boots: Required, this is a rocky, unmaintained trail. Non slip, closed toe shoes or boots are required.
⛰Fitness level: Moderate
🚻 Toilets: the nearest toilet is in the Boyd River Camp car park, please use it before and after the walk and bring a snap lock and tissues for any trail stops.
What to bring:
💊essential medication and personals (eg. Ventolin, Epi Pen, hand sanitizer, lip balm, tissues)
🥢walking poles if you have them (but very optional)
💧2 litres of water (minimum) there is water to filter at the waterfall.
⏹A small towel or something for sitting on at lunch.
🥪Food for lunch
🧥A warm top/jacket plus a pair of gloves and a beanie/scarf or neck gaiter. This is a very cold and exposed environment in the event of a sudden weather change so please be prepared. Please check your layers all fit in your pack as well.

There are places to car camp at Kanangra, with the easiest being Boyd River Campsite(5min away), which has Toilets and fire pits (BYO wood) For those who seek accommodation, Oberon has many good places to stay if you would prefer.
Kanangra walls road is unsealed but in reasonably good condition for 2wd Cars, as usual, you should drive with care on all dirt roads, maintaining a slow speed.
This walk involves creek crossings and overgrown trails (for 2km total) and rock scrambling, participants should be able bodied. Please do not book this tour if you are unfit, unwell or injured. Participants who have health conditions or are over 60 should Contact us first before booking.
Personal Preparation is important for any Bush walk, including maintaining a regular exercise/training schedule in the lead up time.
